Next week the 2001 Mercedes-Benz E320 once owned by convicted criminal Bernie Madoff will go under the hammer at a US government car auction. It is one of many vehicles seized and by US Marshals Service.
While it is not a top-end vehicle the commands a higher price, it is more likely that the winning bidder will get a great deal on the car. It has a book value of between $13,000 and $19,000.
The US Marshal Service has also offered for sale three of Madoff’s former homes in New York and Florida.
All items are part of the assets forfeited by Madoff and his wife to settle claims with the US Justice Department.
